Redesign of Competitive Team Tryouts Designs

Background

At Chelsea Piers, there are a variety of competitive sports teams with many different age groups that require assets to help market and promote tryouts each year. Within the first year at Chelsea Piers, I noticed that all of the teams had many different tryout posters. Ones that were made by the in-house design team, and ones that were made by our Chelsea Piers’ competitive teams. Overall, there lacked consistency across the board and wanted to create a modern and cohesive design.

Goal

Create a well-rounded Chelsea Piers Competitive Team Tryout Package to ensure that all of our colors were consistent and had an eye-catching but modern look to our teams.

Collaboration & Responsibilities

Led the creative process with the Chelsea Piers design team with creative briefs, brainstorming ideas, and completing the revision and approval process. 

Results

A process initiated in early 2025 has now been implemented across all Chelsea Piers competitive teams. The template varies based on tryout times and dates, as well as provided images and team colors. Competitive teams are happy with assets that feature their coaches and athletes, while also displaying tryout information that is easy to read and eye-grabbing when customers pass by.
