Black and White Design

Movie Still Collage Project
For this project, I studied Black and White Theory to create a Black and White Movie Still Collage. First, I used Adobe Photoshop to outline each shape and shadow of the movie still that I chose. The movie that I chose was from the film “Singing In The Rain.” After using photoshop, I then used different values of card stock to cut out, matching the outline. After that, I brought the collage into Photoshop and replaced some of the cardstock with images of different textures. Finally, I duplicated the movie still and manipulated it in order to create a pattern.
Perspective Project Painting
For this project, the use of perspective was utilized. First thing I did was draw out the boxes using a vanishing point. Next, I created my own painted value scale. After, I used the paint I mixed to paint in the perspective painting. This taught me the usage of shadows. After, I used images to make a collage to practice more perspective.
